ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kat Talley is a sign painter, sculptor, and designer based in Austin, Texas. Raised in El Paso, she grew up at her mom’s skatepark, Blade-N-Sk8, where creativity and community went hand in hand. Surrounded by artists, musicians, and makers, she developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship and collaboration.

Kat studied fine art before earning her degree in graphic design, where she discovered her love for color, typography, and composition. Introduced to sign painting by Faith Schexnayder of Flatfork Studio, she discovered a craft that merges her passions for design, fine art, and problem-solving, a balance that continues to define her work today.

Through &daughters, Kat creates custom, hand-painted signage and murals that honor traditional methods while embracing thoughtful, modern design. Each project reflects her dedication to creativity,& craftsmanship.
