FAQs

  • To get you an accurate estimate, we’ll need a few key details:

    • Type of sign (painted on wall, A-frame, window, etc.)

    • Size and dimensions

    • Single- or double-sided

    • The exact text or copy

    • Number of colors (you can provide references, or we’ll do our best to match)

    • Font name (if you have a specific one in mind)

    • Any effects like outlines or shadows

    • Logo file (even a simple sketch helps!)

    • Photos of the wall, surface, or location if applicable — especially for textured walls like stucco or brick

If it’s a painted wall sign, we may need to visit the site to assess the surface before confirming an estimate.

  • Yes! We actually prefer to work within budgets. Whether you’re looking to spend $300 or $3,000, we can tailor materials, scale, and design complexity to fit.
Every project has a base price that covers time, materials, and prep, but beyond that, we’re happy to adjust scope to meet your goals.

  • We love helping clients bring their ideas to life. You can share inspiration images, sketches, or reference styles via email at: hello@andaughters.com
Designs typically go through a few rounds of revisions. Patience is key! We’ll communicate throughout the process to make sure the final piece feels true to your vision.

  • Most of our standalone signs are painted on MDO (medium-density overlay) or ACM panels (aluminum composite material) — both are durable, weather-resistant materials made for long-term outdoor use.

We only use trusted materials that have been tested over time and that we have experience with for their longevity and quality. For other materials, we work alongside a trusted fabrication company that can source and prepare high-quality panels, hardware, or specialty substrates to fit your project’s needs.

We can also paint directly on many other surfaces, walls, metal, glass, vehicles, and more!

If you’re providing your own sign or surface, please note that since we didn’t source or prep the material, we can’t guarantee the longevity or finish of the paint. We’ll always do our best to ensure durability, but results may vary depending on the surface.

  • Turnaround is typically 3–4 weeks from deposit and art approval.
We’re often booked 2–5 weeks out, so it’s best to plan ahead!
If you need something sooner, just ask! Rush options may be available depending on our schedule.

  • Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on our schedule. The remaining balance is due upon completion.

  • Since we work outdoors often, weather delays can happen. We’ll always communicate and reschedule for the earliest possible dry day to keep your project on track.

  • Yes! Most projects include installation.
If your sign requires specialty installation or permitting, we work directly with trusted contractors who handle those details for us. We’ll make sure it’s installed safely and accurately.

  • Avoid harsh cleaners or pressure washing. A gentle soap-and-water wipe-down is all you need. If your sign is on a window we recommend a ammonia-free cleaner such as Sprayway.
If your sign is outdoors, expect a little natural wear over time (We actually think painted signs age beautifully!)

We can always refresh or touch up your sign in the future if needed.
We also offer UV sealer options, which we usually recommend for colors like red that are more prone to fading in the sun and weather.

  • Absolutely! We love exploring unique surfaces, sculptural signage, and creative concepts.
If you have an idea that’s outside the box, reach out! We’ll help figure out the best way to bring it to life.
We actually have fabrication and sculptural capabilities too, so if you want to get a sense of what’s possible, check out some of our other work HERE
